Law in a nutshell
The sale of property in England is often considered more “risky” than other jurisdictions because the parties are not legally bound to complete the transaction until the point of exchange. At this point all due diligence should have been carried out and completed and all of the work done by the seller’s conveyancer, except the final post completion tasks. The role of a seller’s conveyancer is to provide the sales pack, respond to enquiries raised by the buyer and their conveyancer and handle exchange and completion.
What's covered?
